Script

Our script is a 999 call that will be played throughout the first part of our opening. The only charters in the script are the operator and Sarah Smith who is the main character.

Operator: Hello, 999 what's your emergency?
Sarah: (whispering) Hello can i have police, please, please get them here now
Operator: Just police?
Sarah: Yes, quick please
Operator: Okay they'll be there shortly, what's the problem?
Sarah: There's someone in my house (begins crying), someone's broke in and my babies are upstairs- my babies (crying worsens)
Operator: How many children are upstairs?
Sarah: Two, they're in bed asleep.. I think (starts sniffing, crying fades slightly)
Operator: Right, where abouts is the intruder, how many are there?
Sarah: I'm not sure, I think there's more than one, I think they're in the pool room. My children, they're upstairs, I need to get them
Operator: They're in the pool room, is that at the front of the house?
Sarah: NO, at the back, i need to go upstairs and get my kids
Operator: No, stay in your place. Where about are you?
Sarah: In the living room
Operator: Okay is there anywhere you can hide?
Sarah: Behind the sofa?
Operator: Yes stay behind the sofa, can you squeeze behind for me?
Sarah: Maybe, i don't know, they might hear me. I'm scared, I'm scared, why are they here? (begins crying again)
Operator: Okay don't cry stay calm for me. Whats your name please? We've tracked your address.
Sarah: Sarah, Sarah Smith. Should I get my kids?
Operator: No, go behind the sofa, are the intruders downstairs?
Sarah: Yes, i think so, i think they're in the pool room
Operator: Okay, your kids are safe, the police will be with you shortly
Sarah: They need to get here now
Operator: -
Sarah: (gasps)
~sound of footsteps~
Sarah: They're coming, they're coming what should i do? (cries heavily)
Operator: Are you behind the sofa?
Sarah: No, I don't want to move- they're outside the door (whispering)
Operator: Are you okay?
Sarah: Oh my God help (whimpers) help me
Operator: Keep calm, help is coming
~sound of gunshot~
Operator: Hello, are you alright? Hello?
~sound of dead line~
