Music and sound effects

For our film i decided to use a mysterious on edge feel type of music, to find music I researched some copy right free horror themed music  I went through the music that was available to me and then found one that was suitable for our film, the soundtrack I used is called red letter. This is a link to the music I used:
In the film our original plan was to have a 999 call and then cut to music, I found that the 999 call didn't work with the footage and the music didn't flow with it nicely so I decide to cut out the 999 call completely, all though we did make one to, I used a program called audacity and a podcast to create the call, when making this I edited the voices so that the girls voice was higher pitched which makes her seem more vulnerable, and a deeper voice for the police on the other end of the call to show authority and to sound more professional. We recorded a phone ringing and hanging up to create realism of the phone call. This is shown here:

I used different sound effects to add tension and add to the mystery, for example I used flash noises to show the flashbacks and I edited the soundtrack so that it was louder at times to also add tension. I used a program called Sony Vegas to put all the sound effects and music together.
